Our Champagne House

Lombardi artisan Champagne comes from the up and coming Côte des Bars. Champagne Lombardi represents the contemporary side of Champagne. This prestigious French region has been dominated for centuries by a few large, prominent Champagne houses. Known as the Grandes Marques—literally, “big brands”—these mega-producers of Champagne have been joined in recent decades by an upstart generation of small labels such as Champagne Lombardi. Created in 2007, this brand new house will see for years later its first cuvée hit the market. The result was a shower of 90-plus ratings from some of the world’s most prestigious wine critics—an astonishing feat for this brash newcomer.

Our Champagnes

"Axiome: 70% Pinot Noir - 30% Chardonnay. First press. 20% réserve wine. 24 months aging on the lees and another 6 months after disgorgement. The chalky texture and juicy acidity of this lively Champagne create a fine interplay with the bright flavors of ripe white cherry, poached quince, biscuit and fruit-forward pineapple.90 points Wine Spectator. Cuvée Blanc de Blancs 100% Chardonnay. First press. 20% réserve wine. 28 months aging on the lees and another 12 months after disgorgement.. Fresh melon, pear, tangerine and mint on the nose, with a subtle chalky quality adding lift. Juicy and fruit-driven, with vibrant citrus and melon flavors complemented by richer poached pear and fig notes. Finishes with tangy minerality and very good spicy persistence. This suave, seamless Champagne would make a great companion to a richly sauced fish preparation” 91 Points Wine Spectator - 90 points Wine Enthusiast - 90 points Stephen Tanzer - Médaille d’or China Wine and Spirits Awards. Cuvée Blanc de Noir 100% Pinot Noir. First press. 20% réserve wine. 28 months aging on the lees and another 12 months after disgorgement. Apple, pear and toasty lees on the nose, with notes of anise and dried rose adding complexity. Dry and gripping on the palate, offering firm, refreshingly bitter redcurrant and orchard fruit flavors and a hint of blood orange. Uncompromisingly racy, firm bubbly with very good finishing clarity and bite. 89 points Parker - 91 points Wine Enthusiast - 90 points Wine Spectator - 90 points Stephen Tanzer - Winestate Australie. Best of Style 2013 Anthèse: 80% Pinot Noir – 20% Chardonnay. First press. 20% réserve wine. 24 months aging on the lees and another 6 months after disgorgement. This rosé shows a lot of personality, with nut and spice aromas and flavors lacing notes of kirsch, ripe raspberry, peach and candied citrus peel. This is well-balanced and accessible, displaying a slight grain to the texture and juicy acidity that results in a lip-smacking finish. 91 points Wine Spectator - 4*/5* Winestate Magazine Australia Cuvée Hyménée 50% Pinot Noir- 50% Chardonnay. First press. 40% réserve wine. 48 months aging on the lees and another 12 months after disgorgement.. Hervé Baligand (Sommelier, Paul Bocuse Auberge de Collonges . “The nose is fragrant and pleasant, revealing hints of butter bread, toasted pralines and white flowers. The attack in the mouth is forthright and pure, evolving with fresh and abundant flavors and much finesse. We rediscover the butter bread, toasted praline aromas of the chardonnay, complimented by the strength of the pinot noir. The sensation of the bubbles is very fine and delicate. This is a well-balanced and elegant champagne with much finesse, and can be kept 6 years or longer” 91+ points Parker - 91 points Decanter - 92 points Wine Spectator - 91 points Stephen Tanzer - 90 points Wine Enthusiast - Médaille d’or China Wine and Spirits Awards - 4.5*/5 Winestate Magazine Australia. Cuvée Blanc de Noir Millésime 2009. First press. Disgorged in March 2015. This 100% pinot noir champagne comes from the celebrated “Côte des Bar” vineyards in the Aube region. Surprisingly fresh and light, this cuvée unveils the full spectrum of aromas available in the Pinot Noir. Discreetly mineral at the first nose, opening to a more floral honey aroma upon aeration. After a fresh attack, the mouth is ample, round and complex, giving way to flavors of acacia honey, peach, and pear. 91 points Parker."
