"Champagne Michel GONET : more than 210 years of history
Since the inception of Champagne House Gonet in 1802, 7 generations of the Gonet family have overseen its prosperous growth.
In 1973, Michel Gonet, whose champagnes bear his name today, modernized and expanded the wine cellars with only one objective :
Refine the wine-making process in order to obtain excellence. They spezialised in chardonnay grapes variety and it's presented 80 % of the production and 20 % are with pinot noir grapes variety.
Today, Michel Gonet champagnes are classified Grand Cru, and the Michel Gonet vineyards cover 40 hectares of the world's finest Champagne soil. The Grand Cru territories are in Le mesnil sur Oger and Oger in the midle of the Côte des Blancs, other territories are in Vindey in the area of Sézanne, more in the south in Montgueux at side Troyes city and in Fravaux near Bar sur Aube for the pinot noir.
